Kekko KamenSummary: >The Spartan Academy is a boarding school with high standards and harsh punishments. This is a problem for the worst of the schools students: Mayumi. No matter how hard she tries, she's always slated for the next perverse punishment invented by the school's principle. Thankfully justice is on her side in the form of the masked super-heroin Kekko Kamen. Masked she may be, but that's about all she's wearing aside from her boots. Then again perhaps a buck naked hero is best equipped to deal with a pervert like the school principle. Will Mayumi survive school unscathed? Who is Kekko Kamen? How can this principle not be in jail? Thoughts: >Kekko Kamen is a parody of a series I've never heard of, nor will ever see, so there's a lot built into this title that will simply went over my head. Well that's my assumption anyway, because even as a nonsense show, it doesn't have much going for it. The setup is weird, and there were a few amusing parts sprinkled throughout but that's about it. As I watched the first few minutes it occurred to me that in theory there was some merit to the show. You have a nazi woman dealing out punishments to bad students, and The Joker from Batman as a high school principle against a naked ninja chick. That would be glorifying how this anime is actually done however, and it's just so ungodly tasteless that I felt a little devolved for watching it. I'll put it this way, I've become a hardened anime fan over the years, and I don't care if people know I watch it or not. Would I ever want to catch me watching this? Hell no. Seriously, I never thought I would see the day when a woman shoving her muff in a guys face would be used as a method of attack. Actually never mind I guess I have seen that before.. in anime. Maybe I really am a weirdo for watching this stuff from Japan. The story is a lost cause, so I'm not going to even go there. Basically there is a lame setup, Mayumi is abused, and Kekko saves her. That only leaves the characters which are pretty lame as well, although mildly amusing. The principle was weird enough to pull off some parts of comedy, but it's pretty low brow humor all around and not very good at it. So in summary, Kekko Kamen is bad. Not gouge your eyes out bad, but certainly bad enough to make you wish you had avoided it. Quote: >Satan: Come out Kekko Kamen! Kamen: Shut up, I'm already here. Satan: But there was no theme song.. Kamen: I usually skip the theme when there's no audience. Screen Caps: >
