After moving half way across the U.S. my internet availability is questionable and I'm not entirely sure when I'll have reliable Internet access or access to my main PC again.
In other news the Netflix Cowboy Bebop adaptation continues its death march into the realm of comically bad as they attempt to "fix the problems with the anime". Which is odd because Cowboy Bebop in particular has no actual flaws for what it is. There are plenty of shows out there that could actually be improved but the one they chose isn't among them.
I am however hopeful. If they bomb with a few more anime "adaptation" disasters, then perhaps Hollywood will pass by robbing the anime genre of ideas (since they have none of their own), like they've done with comic books. Until then I guess anime fans just point, laugh and cringe.

I remember speaking with someone recently, about how they can't seem to find much on Google these days because the results suck. Then I looked through the google webmaster tools and found it's only indexing (seemingly random) 45 pages out of 600+ on my site. I think I'm giving up on Google.
There's good news on the game front however, as Chizuru finally returns in King of Fighters XV. Finally I can use my girl from KoF98. Wow, it's been a while.

With everyone stuck at home due to the plague, entertainment streaming picked up this year. This led to things spreading out everywhere. Companies wanting a slice of the anime fandom pie, anime is also all over the place.. It's been a pain in the ass, and wondering if this will ever shake out.
Right now I'm more annoyed at companies like Netflix tying up licences with no physical releases. There are plenty of titles not available anymore that I like, and I'm still not willing to give up buying physical copies yet (if ever).

What a year eh? For me it's been exhausting, but I've rarely turned to anime despite it being readily available. I'll probably write about this in more detail, but I'm pretty burned out on watching show after show, with none of them reaching any conclusion.
Dyznomia pointed out in my guestbook that I didn't finish my Mahou Tsukai Tai review which I never completed. I feel like I should review new shows, and older ones on some occasions. But as I began looking I was surprised how many reviews I almost finished, but never quite did. Then I started finding projects I started and never finished, etc. My site would almost be bustling if I finished what I started.
So my current goal is to just start dumping reviews as fast as I can clean them up and finish them.

Been a while. So work kept me incredibly busy for a while, but now I have some free time so hopefully I can get back to watching anime and reviewing it. Not sure if I have much else to say, but yes I'm still alive. For now. Like everyone else I'm waiting for a visit from Corona-chan. Now that I think about it, if I might not make it, I should watch as much anime as possible before I go. Okay, so updates might be tentative.

It looks like the EU has screwed up the Internet. Over there anyway, so good luck to the folks stuck with a bleak memeless existence.
I've been swamped with life (sort of) lately, but I've been trying to carve out enough time to watch some anime. Unfortunatly this doesn't leave time to watch much, so I generally watch the stuff everyone already knows about. Not exactly the kind of stuff that makes for interesting reviews. But I figured I'd stick it out in case any one is interested.

So RSS is just about gone. At first this didn't bother me, but reading more into it, I'm kind of annoyed. It comes down to people being able to see what's new on a site, then deciding whether to visit or not. But the site doesn't get ad revenue unless you actually visit, so having a convenient notification list has been discouraged for a while now. It's sad to see good internet technology sidelined for $$$.
I upgraded my computer, and setting up the water cooling stuff took far longer than I expected. Small updates should be coming in the near future.

Been a while since I've updated this, mainly due to guilt over procrastination. Still hoping to get my ass in gear and start releasing more reviews (I have queued).
In other news I've been watching how Article 13 has unfolded in the European Union. So if a Kekestani freedom fighter posts questionable content in my guestbook, my site violates EU law. To combat this my site is supposed to have some kind of AI filtering built in. That AI is also supposed to be able to block copyrighted content. This is only supposed to affect "large" sites, but who quantifies that? Same could be said about anyone who could post "questionable" content in my guestbook.
Many people say the EU government is out of touch and a bunch of idiots, etc. Make no mistake, this isn't incompetence. Anyone who passed 3rd grade with average intelligence knows what this all means. This is an attack on the free internet, they're going to push it through whether anyone wants it or not, and it was 100% intentional. I'll decide what's inappropriate for My guestbook, not them. Perhaps my site won't qualify for these rules (yet), but I have the feeling this is only the first step.

Ugh, falling so far behind. It's not like I haven't been watching anime, I've just been lax in writing reviews for them, so now I'm stuck with a huge backlog. To make up for lost time I'll try dumping more than one a week, but we'll see how that pans out since I planned to do that starting in January.
I also had quite the experience playing Nier Automata (while not writing reviews *cough*). If you accept help during one of the endings, Archen is probably me. Thanks to whoever Camilla is. Hard to believe we're crazy enough to go through that sacrifice.

Wow, this has been the longest lapse in years. I do have an excuse though. I converted my computer to a water cooling setup, which led to me not having a PC for a while. Although I got kinda lazy too. Hopefully I can get back to sticking to my schedule.

I just realized I keep forget to update the updates page. Well I guess I don't have to much to say, so that's a part of it. Trying to keep up with reviews, and I'm mostly sort of succeeding.

Uh, so there was a problem with the domain I'm on that may have caused an outage of my site for some people, particularly with Google DNS which is the most common DNS provider used. I didn't notice the domain was being rejected, because I don't use that kind of provider. Worse still, after I discovered the problem it took days to resolve. -_-;

I guess I should apologize for lack of updates, but then again who would I be apologizing to? My non existent visitors?
Over time I've been mindful to avoid exactly what's happened: if I step away from something on the internet for a little while, even a small amount of time), I may not come back to it. I've been vigilant, but this is bound to happen sometimes. I also haven't been in the mood to watch anime for weeks which hasn't helped, but I'm interested in a few new shows again. Hopefully I can get back on track, but we'll see.
