Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most influential and popular anime series ever created. While generally being a mecha anime, it also has many sub plots involving the characters themselves; making it appealing to pretty much all audiences. Evangelion spans 26 episodes, two ending movies, with more recent retelling/reworking of the story in 4 feature films (mostly not covered here). It all revolves around a boy named Shinji Ikari, who struggles to accept himself and deal with the stress of saving the world from the beings known as "angels".

What's up with this new format? Since I've been redoing many of my pages, this one came up for a remodeling too. This page begain in 97, and there really isn't much I can add - pictures or otherwise. So I figured I'd simplify it until it's almost a text document.
