Summary: >
Well... it's hard to really describe this show... basically there was once a time of peace, when gods and mankind flourished. That peace was shattered when a war broke out, and the old king of the gods was slain. The current ruler is a very cruel master, and the land of mankind has withered away. There is however hope. It is said that if seven special people come together, that the darkness will pass. Of course the dark lord himself isn't going to sit idly bye while this assembly will attempt to take place.

I think probably the only thing holding this anime from being swept under the rug entirely in anime history, is the fact that the manga was created by CLAMP (a well known, popular artist group in Japan). I'm really starting to develop a love/hate relationship for CLAMP anime Sometimes their stuff is really good, other times it is rather lacking. But in any event I find it hard to believe that the story could have been put together here as badly as it was. I'm guessing that whoever put this project together just did a bad adaptation.
I'm rather glad that they took the time to explain so much about the gods and such, so they could then go into a completely unrelated plot. Overall, this anime tended to advance without direction. Not a lot is accomplished, and basically, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of plot advances either. I just found it so boring. Like after watching it I just wanted to crawl under by bed and go into a coma. Now I won't say the story is bad, I just found it rather dull.
Animation wise it was okay. The character designs are probably the highlight here, and the rest of it took a back seat to that. Anyway I'd recommend against watching this title. The story doesn't have a good beginning or end. It doesn't advance much, and not a whole lot happens that you really care about.
