Summary: >
Captain Tita is a feisty young girl who makes her living finding rare pets. And while you'd think that this girl would be a pushover, she can take care of herself. That's probably why she's also managed so well as the captain of her ship: the Plastic Little. Then Tita happened upon a girl named Elise who is being hunted by a rather evil organization. Her father had been working on a doomsday device for the military, before he was killed. Now only Elise has the key to stopping it. So it looks like it's up to Captain Tita to save the day.

It's interesting how anime can stick in your mind years after you've seen them. I mean some titles just strike a chord that makes you like them or at least remember them years later. Plastic Little is NOT one of those titles. If this anime has one claim to fame, it is that it stays true to the art of Satoshi Urushihara. His art has a sort of following if you didn't know. But any anime that embarks on such a challenge might as well put the effort into the animation as well. And that Plastic Little also does. Unfortunatly there really just isn't much more to hold this title together. The story and plot were just all around weak. And not just in the sense that it is too linear, it's like the whole thing was in the middle of a bigger story with a more lavish beginning and end that you don't see, and that Plastic Little is the boring chapters in between.
Aside from that the characters were nothing special. Their development was poor, but it seems like there was little substance there to develop. There were also supposed to be some humor in this show, but I wouldn't say it was enough to give this anime the much needed flavor it should have had. And when you put all of this together you see Plastic Little is almost all surface pollish with little substance.
I won't however give this title a "not so good" rating, because honestly the designs and animation were quite good. Well, good enough to drag it up a rating category. As far as that goes, if you ONLY want good animation, good character designs, and some nudity - then Plastic Little is probably a good choice. For everyone else, not recommended.
