Summary: >
In the not so distant future the world is somewhat at peace. But crime is still a problem. Hiroshi Ozora is a scientific genius of sorts. Well he's good enough to invent a suit that makes the wearer almost invincible for a time - as well as manipulating the laws of physics. Hiroshi decides to style the suit in atypical superhero fashion. But at some point his sister Mirai discovers his secret. She also decides that the suit has no style and refashions the suit more to her liking. Hiroshi is appalled by the changes, and decides it's better to hand over superhero duties to her than embarrassing himself wearing the suit.
And so a new superhero named Moldiver was born. And the world might need a hero to help rescue it's classic antiques... uh, yeah.

Unfair warning: I couldn't watch past the first episode - there are 6 total. As an American this isn't really a new thing, but as far as the superhero genre in anime - there aren't many titles to choose from. However I tend to watch anime because, it's NOT superhero stuff so perhaps this title is starting off on the wrong foot with me strait away. Actually yeah, that's the major detractor, I just can't get past. Now aside from that Moldiver doesn't really deliver anything that would make this title stand out. The story is ... lacking. The animation is merely okay. The comedy is okay. Yeah, it's well rounded mediocrity in pretty much every direction.
As such it's a perfectly forgettable anime. And.. what was I talking about? Oh yeah, Moldiver. No, it really is that forgettable. You will however notice that I did not give it a "sucks" rating. Why? Because although it's not anything to write home about it is not a complete soul sucking waste of time either. Moldiver isn't bad, it's just not excelling in any category. And I will give it the benefit of the doubt that it gets better as things go on - as I've heard (which is why I gave it an average rating). It's also released as an entire collection on one DVD which wasn't an option when I rented this title. I wouldn't recommend seeing it myself, but I doubt you'll gouge your eyes out if you do happen to watch it.
