A title from a bygone era in anime, I finally decided to watch this film. I'm not sure if it qualifies as being a "classic" but it's one of those titles I probably should have watched a long time ago anyhow. The story was actually fairly clever, although the running around everywhere that action movies do tends to get old with me, so I probably under-rated it. Animation was pretty cool in some areas, where it was obvious that the film was experimenting with many different aspects (certainly a treat to watch). Unfortunately one of those sequences was computer generated... and lets face it, CG sequences in the 80's sucked ass, which is why I lowered the rating =P. Actually it's probably ironic in a way that they put the computer generated sequences in there as a state of the art animation, but it's the non computer generated animation which is timeless.
It's a a pretty decent show if you want to watch as an action type movie based off of two things. What are those two things? Let me put it this way, Golgo 13 is ether killing someone, shagging some girl, or on his way to do either or both.
