Haven't you Heard? I'm SakamotoSummary: >Among the high school student body, a first year student stands out among the rest: Sakamoto. He's not just cool, he's the coolest ever. Always stylish, always standing out, nothing holds Sakamoto back. This of course earns him the ire of students and faculty who are jealous of his perfection. Does Sakamoto always come out on top? Thoughts: >For what it is, Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto fairs well as a comedy. Maybe it's not perfect in execution, but pushes its concept about as far as it can while being entertaining. It's a good watch at 13 episodes, but probably couldn't continue on much farther before becoming tiresome. Sakamoto is awesome, at everything, at all times; yet strangely humble about it. No matter what predicament he's placed into, Sakamoto always comes out on top in the most stylish way. What makes this show amusing is "stylish" being in the eye of the beholder. Instead Sakamoto is so cool, he's a total weirdo. Of course the reaction of others is always awe and adoration. Scenarios vary, but usually amount to jealous students trying to get the best of Sakamoto, or girls pursuing him. In either case, Sakamoto is too slippery to be pinned down by nefarious schemes, or smitten girls but somehow always comes out in a way where no one can hate him. It's silly and does well as a comedy, although not to the extent where it'll be a classic. Most aspects of this anime suggest it may be lower budget, but the character designs look good - usually they're fairly painful in this kind of show. It's good for a few laughs with a different comedy formula compared to most anime, so worth checking out. Screen Caps: >
