When I revamped my review section, I thought of various categories that I would use to judge titles. I expected that sooner or later I'd probably run into a title that would score a 1 in each category. I never imagined that I would have to endure one so bad that it would get the lowest score in all of them at once. Colorful is really that bad.

Animation is nearly non existent. Honestly it's pretty much the worst effort I've seen passed off as anime. This goes hand in hand with the design which is horribly crude. (my screenshots are WAY better than you'll see for 90% of this title). Colors and lines are jumbled together in a way that is so sloppy that I can't do a good job of describing it. Occasionally it manages to pass off a few frames of artwork that only qualify as bad, but most of it is just terrible.

I can't even talk about the rest of the categories because there isn't any depth, there are no real characters, nor is there any story. Colorful is simply a collection of shorts featuring perverts leering at underwear. I'm not talking about watching panty shot fan service. Colorful features women simply existing in every day situations, and guys going completely crazy over the thought of perhaps even seeing a glimpse of panties or a bra.

What's disturbing about Colorful is that the men are such disgusting pathetic losers. They have no intention of say, getting a girlfriend, asking a woman out or simply renting hentai anime. No these guys bend over backwards to see just regular women's underwear. The target demographic for Colorful is probably the same demographic in Japan that buys used schoolgirl uniforms. Don't even get me started on some of the other used items they sell over there.

While edited in a way that makes it disjointed, it at least never lingers on an uncomfortable situation too long (and there are a lot of them). In all fairness I did laugh a few times, but we're talking like once every 4-5 episodes. Episodes are only like 5-6 minutes long by the way.

There's not much I can say about Colorful other than I believe this is now the worst anime I've seen (which is unfortunatly a hurdle I thought I had already passed in life). I wonder if this anime isn't some sort of experiment by he Japanese Self Defense Force to discourage anyone from ever invading Japan. I admit I'm a little more scared of them myself. Needless to say, it's bad. Do not watch.
