Vampire Hunter D is the first animated horror film ( and my favorite movie). The story takes place in the distant future. Society looks like some high tech version of the middle ages. Creatures of darkness terrorize the land and lurk in the shadows. a girl named Dorris and her little brother Dan live in the country where they raise livestock. I assume they are poor, other wise Dorris could afford a longer skirt! One day, when Dorris was fending off the local wildlife she encounters Count Magnus Lee (a vampire), and he bites her, (although she says "kissed", of course the count might have gotten a little exited kissing her on the neck and drawing blood - sorta kinky if you ask me....oops, I'm off the subject). So where was I...oh yeah, Dorris gets bitten, therefore she requires the services of a vampire hunter. By coincidence there happens to be one passing though town. A mysterious vampire hunter known only as "D". How will D defeat a vampire thousands of years old? Well, lets just say it's in the blood.
