While the original Vampire Hunter D movie continues to be a cult favorite, and one of the most sought after videos out of print; there has been oddly very little said in the places where you would expect to hear about it. Even though the movie is well into production (at the time of this writing), very little is mentioned about it. Most magazines seem more interested in hype about the other flashy mediocre anime which seems to be flooding America now days. I personally don't know much about the film itself, other than what little I've seen from the trailer, but the animation does look spectacular. Whether the story will follow the original (which is my guess), or if it will be an entirely different story I really can't tell. Needless to say I am very ardent in anticipation for the new telling of this old favorite classic.
