Sana made every attempt to defeat Akito Hayama to no avail. Upon her mothers suggestion she decided to seek out Hayama's weakness. Unfortunately it didn't seem like Akito even had a weakness. Sana later got Tsuyoshi to confess to her that Akito has a fear of heights. Even though he has Acrophobia, Akito seems fairly strong that he can usually drag himself through situations in high places.

One of the more puzzling things about Akito, is his rather indirect language. Akito pretty much never answers with a direct answer, even to yes or no questions he often replies to the effect of "not really". Then there is the issue of what he likes and doesn't like. Akito for instance doesn't say "I love sushi" he says "I don't hate it". He tends to answer many things in this way. As Sana says: "A translator would be nice..."
