At this point of the anime, you could almost see Tohru saying to himself "what's up with this Mizuho chick? She yells at me to get out of her house, then kisses me later on". In a rather clever way to avoid an awkward situation between the two, the next day Tohru offers to give Mizuho a ride to school on his bike (since she still has an injured ankle). As the days pass by, Mizuho eventually finds that she enjoys the bike rides with Tohru, and enjoys his company as well. Then one night Mizuho has a distressing dream where Mizuho confesses to Miko that she loves Tohru, but Miko becomes angry and exclaims "He's mine!".

With the dream from the previous night still heavy on her heart, Mizuho decides to decline Tohru's bike ride as her ankle has healed. Later after school, Mizuho walks by a stream with a treasured key chain that Tohru gave her for good luck a long time ago. As she prepares to say goodbye to her love to Tohru and toss the key chain into the water, she's interrupted by Tohru. The two talk for a while until Mizuho absentmindedly drops the key chain. Tohru recognizes it and tries to ask her about it, but Mizuho runs away.

Mizuho is in despair at her situation. She's somehow managed to fall in love with the same guy her best friend is dating. That night Miko has a premonition in a dream about Tohru, and decides that something needs to be resolved. The next day Miko cheerfully asks Mizuho to join her at a concert, and Mizuho accepts. How can Mizuho break the news to Miko? What will happen between Miko and Tohru? Will Miko and Mizuho be able to remain friends through all of this?
