The main male character in the OAV is Tohru. He is generally an all around average, good guy. Tohru ends up staying with Mizuho's family. While her mother and little brother immediately like Tohru, Mizuho doesn't like actually LIVING with him much at all, probably because it makes her uncomfortable. Tohru seems to have known Mizuho for quite some time, since he gave her a key chain (which she takes everywhere). Tohru seems like a cool sort of guy, but he seems to have a habit of scoping girls out, but realistically that's the way guys REALLY are. I could say more about him, but it would be better just to watch the OAV for yourself.

Tsuyoshi is the main character in the TV series. It's sort of hard to compair him to Tohru because the OAV is much shorter, and you really don't find out much about Tohru. There does seem to be a perceivable difference, in that Tsuyoshi seems to be a bit more laid back, cheerful, and a better sense of humor. In the OAV Tohru's story mainly revolved around Mizuho, Miko, and Ai - while Tsuyoshi tends to play the field much more. Another way to look at it, is that both characters are supposed to be what YOU are in the game, and that the differences are much like how you could alternatively play the game.
