In the game, Ai is the cute younger girl that has a crush on you and watches you from a distance. Ai is very polite, timid, and kind hearted. She's also so bashful that she has a hard time time talking to just about any guy. Ai and Miyuki are best friends and can almost always be found together. In the OAV Ai has certain feelings towards Tohru, but Miyuki doesn't trust him at all. As Ai's crush tends to get a little more intense, she manages (with Miyuki's constant prodding) to finally work up the courage to talk to him occasionally, and even go out on a date with him. Eventually Ai becomes a tad bit too presumptuous, and Tohru decides to teach her a bit about what she's feeling... (with good intentions, but really sinister means ^_^; ). In the TV series, she plays nearly the same role, but is one of the main characters. The last few episodes concentrate on Ai and Miyuki when the both fall in love with Tsuyoshi.
