Naomi Armitage - The badge toting terror in hot pants

Armitage is an officer in the Mars police department. Her personality is nearly as wild as her wardrobe. She is a very good cop; smart, a good detective, yet often very emotional. Even though the majority of the Mars population dislike robots, Armitage has a lot of sympathy for them. She also enjoys ice cream.

Ross Sylibus - The cop with a new start

Ross came to Mars to try to escape Earth. His former partner was killed by a robot, and ever since, he disliked them. He also has an artificial leg ( probably as a result of the same incident in which his partner was killed ). Ross is also a very good cop, although he needs to adjust to the way things are done on Mars. He even drives his own cars (most of which are automated).

Kelly McCannon - The last country star

Kelly McCannon was a famous country singer. During her flight to Mars she was brutally killed by Rene D'ancaude. The odd thing about McCannon was the fact that she was in fact a robot. Not just any robot, but a third - much more advanced than the second robot series. Her death begins an investigation into the serial killings by D'ancaude, as well as who is developing the thirds.

Asakura - Creator of the thirds

Asakura is the scientist who developed the thirds (and is working on the fourth series robots). He is also (technically) Armitage's father. It seems however, that Asakura's memory was tampered with and he no longer has a recollection of his relationship to Armitage.

Julian ( Pluto ) - The boy eternally young

Julian is a third, but unlike the other thirds, he is a boy. He also seems to be stuck in his youth! Julian is the one whom gives Armitage the list of thirds. He knows what is happening two the rest of the thirds, and as a precaution, he stores his memory in a computer for a backup.

Rene D'ancaude - The villain

Rene D'ancaude is responsible for a brutal killing spree which began with Kelly McCannon. But he doesn't just kill anyone, he is systematically eliminating the people who are thirds (none of whom are known to the public as thirds). He feels he is justified in eradicating machines which are hiding within society.
